Supplier Due Diligence

Morning,

I am working on a Public Sector Procurement.

Various suppliers are being considered.

ITTs (invitations to Tender) will be issued shortly.

As part of the supplier Bid evaluation I will need to perform a version of Due Diligence on the Supplier (financial & non financial checks).

For financial checks I am considering : Altman's Z score, ratio analysis (solvency, liqudiity, profitability, cashflow).

Alternatively Ratings Agency Reports can be used - Dun and Bradstreet / Moodys.

Are there any specific templates that can be shared or advice in relation to performing supplier due diligence?

Kind regards

Nick

Hi Nick,

I've done a little of this and whilst those ratio modules will give you a good starting point, this entire process is usually a pull from the end client, i.e. they give us the definitive listing of what they want documenting in the supplier DD.

If they're after advice on what to include then that's probably a little left of centre for this forum - could be anything from GDP multipliers to local workforce expansion, etc.

Modano is great at the how side of things - particularly around (a) uber-consistency, and (b) scaled expansion of suppliers, so that supplier A can be compared to supplier B.

But the content itself is usually based on the supplier's specific focus.

Cheers. J.
