Separate Revenue & Expense Input Tabs

Hi Everyone,

Is there a way to have the standard Revenue & Expense module inputs separated across multiple tabs?

Due to the different revenue streams within the business we modeling, the Rev_Exp input tab is over 2800 rows. Being able to separate the 'volume' assumptions from the 'price' assumptions will make things simpler. Additionally, modules like 'Revenue (Unit Price, Volumes, Links In)' won't any changes, so we want them on a separate tab which the client has been instructed to leave.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Hi Rodion,

You can easily move module components within the Project Manager (Build tab, Manage group).

Within the Contents tab you can drag and drop components to reorder or separate them across sheets. In the diagram below, the lines of black text with a sheet logo beside them are individual sheets, while the lines of coloured text below represent the various module components within the sheet. To move a component, simply drag and drop the component to the appropriate sheet.

If you want to add/remove additional sheets while doing this, you can do so with the Add and Delete buttons on the RHS panel.

In your scenario, you may want to keep the 3 Revenue modules separate by adding 2 extra sheets and dragging the modules into individual sheets.

As a general rule, we try to keep the active rows in a sheet less than 1,000 rows, as over 1,000 rows can impact performance. You can also split a large number of categories across multiple modules to limit the depth of your sheets, where necessary.

Hope this helps with your query.

Ewan
