Module Content Report - Partially Linked Module Warning

Hello Team

I am running simultaneously as AS IS and Target Operating Model (TOM) case for 8 companies.

Each Company has an AS IS Cost and a Target Cost case. So Co 1 has a Pay Cost (As Is) Module and a Pay Cost (TOM) Module.

The 8 companies are aggregated into a Total Income Statement (AS IS).

The 8 companies are aggregated into a Total Income Statement (TOM).

Initially Modano links all 16 Pay Modules to Total Income Statement (AS IS) and links all 16 Pay Modules to the Total Income Statement (TOM). You then have to unlink all the Pay Cost (TOM) modules from the Total Income Statement (AS IS), and then unlink all the Pay Cost (AS IS) Modules from the Total Income Statement (TOM).

However when you run the Module Content report, Modano becomes concerned and treats these as warnings.

Partially-linked precedent module.

Module: CIS (As Is)

Precedent module: Pay MYOR (As Is)

Hi Nick - the partially-linked modules warning is a warning, not an error, so if the partial linking is intentional then you can ignore the warnings and perhaps even run the Module Content Report tool with this item excluded.

The warning is displayed by default because if the partial-linking is unintentional it's usually an indication that there's an error in the model. Hence, the system errs on the conservative side of things.
