Merging Lookup tables

Hi everyone,

I noted that my modular workbook contains a number of hidden different lookup sheets (all ending with '_LU') with lookup tables which are all linked to their specific modules. I am wondering whether I can merge the lookup tables of the various different lookup sheets. Maybe similar to the way that I am able to move modular content from one sheet to another via Build --> Project Manager --> Contents (Drag and Drop).

Thanks!

Sergej

Hi Sergej,

Lookups module components are included in modules which require look data, usually for things like drop down boxes, etc. These lookups module components are located on lookups sheets, which are by default hidden when modules are inserted. This is an option which is can be changed via the Modano Options dialog box, as shown below:

Lookups module components from different modules can be moved onto the same sheet (via the Contents panel within the Project Manager dialog), but cannot be merged into the same module as they are required to stay in their parent modules so they can be reused when the module is inserted, duplicated or mirrored.

If you find yourself constantly referring to the same lookup table in multiple modules, a workaround is to include this lookup table within the time series module lookups module component, as content within time series modules can be referenced by any formula in any module.

I hope this answers your question!
